The Battle
“The Battle” came about from my love for animals. I love the symbol of our country (the bald eagle). To me it stands for our beauty, strength, and persistence. I wanted to create a sculpture of this beautiful creature. The idea behind this sculpture was to give it life, and not just do one of a bird sitting on a branch or a bird with a dead fish in its claws. This is why I decided on sculpting it with a rattlesnake fighting for its life. The battle is not over!
